KEY REQUIREMENTS
U.S. Citizenship
Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.
Must pass pre-employment examination.
Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.

DUTIES:
SALARY NOTE: Selectee's grade and salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience determined by the Nurse Professional Standards Board.
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is required to attend staff meetings, communicating up and down the chain of command and help prepare heads-up and issue briefs to the adverse patient outcomes; open encounter and open consult maintenance, CPRS documentation requirements, secure messaging, and monitoring of clinic management; maintain involvement in matters concerning clinic productivity, relevant performance measures, Quality and Patient Safety oversight, as well as process improvements (systems designs). The CRNA is required to remain privileged and practicing in their specialty field. The exact privileges and procedures for a particular provider will be approved by the Professional Standards Board. All practitioners must meet the following qualifications:
1. Patient Care : Practitioners are expected to provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the promotion of health, prevention of illness, treatment of disease, and care at the end of life.
2. Medical/Clinical Knowledge : Practitioners are expected to demonstrate knowledge of established and evolving biomedical, clinical and social sciences, and the application of their knowledge to patient care and the education of others.
3. Clinical Judgment : To ensure practice-based learning and improvement, practitioners are expected to be able to use scientific evidence and methods to investigate, evaluate, and improve patient care.
4. Interpersonal and Communication Skills : Practitioners are expected to demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills that enable them to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.
5. Professionalism: Practitioners are expected to demonstrate behaviors that reflect a commitment to continuous professional development, ethical practice, and understanding and sensitivity to diversity, and a responsible attitude toward their patients, their profession.
6. Systems-Based Practice : Practitioners are expected to demonstrate both an understanding of the contexts and systems in which health care is provided, and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve optimizing health care.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Citizen of the United States.
Graduate of a of professional school of nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia . In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. Must be proficient in spoken and written English .
Applicant's education and length of nursing practice (experience) will be considered by a Nurse Professional Standards Board in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) must be licensed or otherwise recognized as a CRNA in a State, ( possess a master's degree from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia ,) and maintain a full current certification as a CRNA from the National Boards of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or another nationally recognized certifying body. CRNAs prescriptive authority privileges with eligibility function under an approved scope of practice. Excellent organization and communication skill(s) within an interdisciplinary team is a must. Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook and in computerized patient record system required. Applicant must have ACLS Certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Training is preferred : All members of the Medical Staff are required to show proof of current BLS training at the time of credentialing and privileging.
