Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina

Description: Park Ridge Health is looking of CRNA right now, this position will be placed in North Carolina. Park Ridge Health (PRH) is located in the western corner of North Carolina, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. With nearly 1,200 dedicated team members and over 220 physicians, PRH is a member of Adventist Health System, a 43 hospital system that comprises the largest protestant not-for profit health system in the nation. PRH offers a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient acute care, physician practices, other ambulatory services and home care.

PRMA, an entity of PRH, currently employs over 100 primary care, medical subspecialty and surgical based physician and midlevel providers. PRMA includes roughly 30 practices in over 30 locations throughout the counties of Henderson, Buncombe and Haywood. The total number of PRMA employees reaches roughly 270, including physicians, midlevel providers, practice managers and medical office support.

Job Specific Responsibilities:
CRNA qualification is rigorous, and the responsibility that a CRNA carries is large. The CRNA is solely responsible for managing the distribution of anesthesia, a very powerful sedative. The nurse must understand medical complications associated with the use of anesthesia and how to correct them. A CRNA is responsible for monitoring the well being of the patient while under anesthesia to insure no complications arise. Other CRNA duties include: maintaining medical charts, collaborating with a team of health care professionals, including surgeons and primary care doctors, on the patients’ condition, providing post operative patient care and evaluation, and assisting in the training of other medical personnel in CPR, anesthesia and respiratory care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in nursing and Master's degree from a Graduate School of Nurse Anesthesia
  • Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
  • Experienced in anesthesia preferred, but new graduates will be considered
  • Current License as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina with at least one year of Critical Care experience
  • ACLS
