Carolina Spine & Neurology Center and Mission Health are seeking to hire two Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians to ! join their comprehensive spine and back pain center in Asheville, NC. This well-established group is comprised of eight surgeons, one anesthesiologist, who does interventional procedures, and one physiatrist, who does medical management. Candidate will provide an excellent patient experience while integrating evidence based health care evaluation and treatment information with shared decision making into the care of this patient population. In addition, this physician is to coordinate communication and patient care among referring physicians, department specialists, including the interdisciplinary team members, while supervising individual patient care with the support of intake and nurse navigation staff.
This opportunity is for a physician who is eager to participate in the development of a comprehensive spine and back pain center and provides patient-centered care rooted in evidence-based medicine. The incoming physiatrists will have a special interest in evalua! ting, triaging and offering medical management for patients ex! periencing back, spine and other musculoskeletal concerns along with limited interventional and EMG work. This is a strictly outpatient position.
