DUTIES:
Medical Center, Salisbury, NC is seeking a full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist, fellowship training in critical care is preferred.

The incumbent will perform as a staff anesthesiologist in the Anesthesiology Service.

The physician provides anesthesia-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, PACU, ICU, ward, and clinic settings as needed. He/she must meet anesthesia-related documentation requirements set forth by Joint Commission and participates in development and implementation of program planning, objectives, and standards essential to delivery of quality anesthetic care.

Assignment will include rotational on-call coverage. (Anesthesiologist critical car and pain experience preferred).

The physician is accountable to the Section Chief, Anesthesiology Service and is responsible for providing the most effective delivery of anesthetic care thro! ughout the medical center while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.

The Staff Anesthesiologist has responsibility for providing a complete range of anesthetic care to patients including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic administration and monitoring, and post-anesthetic care, in compliance with national joint Commission accreditation standards.

The physician is responsible for maintaining current clinical privileges and keeping licensure, CPR/ACLS, and all other appropriate documents up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Citizen of the United States. Noncitizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens. Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathis medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans A! ffairs for the year in which the course of study was complete. Current,! full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia.

Additional Requirments:
Candidates must be board eligible or board certified.

Must be proficient in spoken and written English (for direct patient care)
