M-F 8: 30-5: 00 No Call
Provide perioperative medical clearance for patients undergoing scheduled! procedures
Work autonomously and in collaboration with the supervising Anesthesiologist.
Providing safe and cost-effective medical clearance
Performing physical and neurological exams when necessary
Determining the need for specialty referral versus further in-house SATU workup for medical clearance.
Ordering, monitoring, and interpreting diagnostic tests as necessary
Documenting diagnostic evaluations and therapies.
Providing education to patients and families regarding perioperative issues, procedures, and concerns.
Educating patients and families on the various anesthetic options available for the scheduled procedure.
Complete History and Physicals on a select number of patients based on need or referral
Average daily face patients in SATU department 27
Average daily phone interview patients 29
Walk in patients for labs 0-10
