The Cardiac Surgery Operating Room (CSOR) has two rooms and is used exclusively for cases performed by the cardiac surgeons. Approximately 300 heart by-pass surgeries are performed monthly by the three cardiac surgeons in addition to the thoracic and vascular procedures. The team is very collaborative and consists of surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, nurses, surgical technologists, perfusion staff, first assists and mid-level providers all working together to provide quality care for our patients. We encourage our nurses to become OR Certified and join AORN. The health system pays for our nurses to take the CNOR exam.
