We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.



As a program coordinator, you will be responsible for providing a range of program coordination functions for the leadership of the Vilcek Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Your role involves supporting and coordinating the activities of the three directors of Vilcek and the associate dean. Your duties also include facilitating the administration process of departmental activities, such as maintaining records, compiling and monitoring email and the calendar for meetings, scheduling meetings, organizing and coordinating seminars, and other related activities.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Scheduling & Coordinating - Organize and coordinate schedules, activities and special events. May assist in special events planning.
  • Project/Program coordination - Provide moderate to advanced coordination for project or program activities that include but not limited to: coordination of project/programs while working/communicating with internal and external parties. Develop project/program schedules, may oversee project/program purchase requisitions and invoice payments.
  • Participates in special Project/Programs and performs other duties as required.
  • Reports - You will generate status/progress reports for ongoing and pending project/programs. You will plan, arrange, outline and draft letters, memos, agendas, presentations, and reports. Review workflow and recommend improvements if applicable to ensure appropriate cycle times and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:


To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.


Preferred Qualifications:


Project/Program management experience preferred.


Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $65,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
