The Anesthesia Navigator will act as an extension and partner to the anesthesiologists, working in close collaboration to provide the best periOperative care pos! sible for patients undergoing surgery. This position will coordinate and direct care preoperatively to ensure each patient is optimized prior to their scheduled surgery. This position is responsible for oversight of pre-anaesthesia staff; ordering pertinent diagnostic tests; scheduling pre-anaesthesia interviews; and overall coordination of the surgical patient. This position reports to the Director of Surgical Services with direct responsibility to the Anesthesia Medical Director.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum requirements for the position include RN with BSN, or ANP, or PA. Current Licensure in NC applicable to education (RN/ANP/PA). Minimum BSN for RNNC with 5 years PeriOperative Nursing required.
